George Borrow and links to the text of his famous book 'The Bible in Spain'

George Borrow is most famous for his book The Bible in Spain, which relates his travels in Spain in the 1830s as agent of the British and Foreign Bible Society, with the aim of printing and distributing the Bible.

There is now an official George Borrow Society, which publishes many articles about this fascinating character, who was by no means the straightest of evangelicals.

Protestante Digital recently reviewed a book (review English, book in Spanish) retracing the steps of Borrow.

An interesting sequel to Borrow's travels is the story of the printing and distribution of the Catalan New Testament at the same time. More soon (hopefully)!
