On the blue box? Sobre la caja azul?

Tuesday was an advance in our programme of workshops. Firstly, we went completely against Brazilian culture and started on time! Instead of a platform performance, the participants entering the building found a video of Maritiza and Mau singing followed by an illustrated talk by yours truly on a blue box. We did drape some red material over it so that the shortsighted did not trip over it. Many of the participants had never put together a personal testimony of their conversion. One young lady who first came from a Catholic background to hear the Gospel on Sunday night, came forward to say that she had found the love of Christ. Among a community of people won over by the pastoral care of this church I suspect that not only are the techniques new but also some are asking themselves if they have ever come to conversion in Biblical terms. This evening´s session actually starts out in the local park. Then we tackle one to one evangelism with `The Hammer of the Law´.

El martes vio un avance en nuestro programa de talleres. Primero, nos fuimos contracorriente de la cultura brasileña y empezamos a la hora! En vez de una actuación desde la tribuna, los participantes entrando en el edificio se enfrentaron con un video de Maritza y de Mau cantando seguido por un mensaje ilustrado por mí sobre una caja azul. Colgamos un poco de material rojo sobre ello para que los miopes no se tropezaran contra ella. Muchos de los participantes nunca habían hecho un testimonio personal de su conversión. Una joven que vino desde un trasfondo católico y oyó el evangelio por primera vez el domingo por la noche, se adelantó para decir que ella había encontrado el amor de Cristo. Entre una comunidad ganada por la atención pastoral de esta iglesia sospecho que algunos no sólo están aprendiendo las técnicas sino también se están preguntando si han venido a la conversión en términos de lo que la Biblia dice. La sesión esta noche empieza en el parque local. Luego abarcamos el tema de la evangelización uno a uno con ´El Martillo de la Ley´.
