Communicating with the majority population - Comunicando con la mayoría de la población

Brazil, as in many of the emerging nations of the world, rejoices in a population where the greying factor and the Islamic demographic take over factor have had no effect. My Saturday was spent at a youth outreach camp which the Jundiai church organizes twice a year. About thirty young people who are non believers or not committed in their discipleship are invited to an intensive weekend. All action, all music and special events - and I was there as an evangelist on the Saturday to preach twice on the sketchboard. My messages where on ´Pardon´and ´The woman taken in adultery´. Adriana´ s parents had bought me a Bible in Portuguese and I managed to get my words up correctly. The only failure has been the paint. In transit from Peru the bag received rough treatment and one plastic container of powder paint was perforated. The paint bought here is too viscous and so the true visual effect is lost and it will make the training sessions starting Monday difficult. But nothing is impossible with the Lord. The expectation is high with nearly a hundred people signed up for the evangelism workshops from the Memorial Church alone. However in the visit to Joanópolis they do seem to want me to take part in several public events, rather than my trainees.

Brasil, como en muchas 'naciones emergentes' del mundo, disfruta de una población en la cual tanto las canas como la demográfica islámica tienen un efecto nulo. Pasé este sábado en un campamento evangelístico de jóvenes que la iglesia de Jundiai organiza dos veces al año. Invitan a unos 30 jóvenes que no son todavía creyentes o comprometidos en su discipulado a pasar un fin de semana económico. Todo es acción, la música y efecto especiales - y yo estaba allí como evangelista para predicar dos veces el sábado con el tablero. Mis mensajes trataban del 'Perdón' y 'La mujer adúltera'. Los padres de Adriana me habían traído una Biblia en Portugués y conseguí preparar correctamente las palabras. Sólo falló en parte la pintura. En el vuelo desde el Perú la bolsa recibió un tratamiento duro y se perforó un recipiente de color. La pintura que se puede conseguir aquí no se disuelve bien y por esto se pierde el verdadero efecto visual. Esto dificultará las sesiones de formación que comienzan el lunes. Pero nada es imposible con el Señor. Las expectativas son altas, con cerca de unas 100 personas inscritas para los talleres de evangelismo sólo de parte de la Iglesia Memorial. De todas maneras, en la visita a Joanópolis parece que quieran que participe en varios eventos públicos, en vez de que participen mis discípulos.
